On July 16^th, the closing ceremony and performance showcase for the 2026 "Embrace China: China Roots-seeking Tour" Summer Camp (Henan) took place. The event brought together 264 young people of Chinese heritage from 25 overseas organizing groups across 18 countries, including the United States, Ireland, Austria, Australia, Germany, Canada, Sweden, the Czech Republic, Qatar, the United Kingdom, the Philippines, Thailand, Spain, Italy, South Korea, the United Arab Emirates, Denmark, and France.

7月16日，2026“亲情中华·中国寻根之旅”夏令营——河南集结营闭营仪式暨汇报演出举行。来自美国、爱尔兰、奥地利、澳大利亚、德国、加拿大、瑞典、捷克、卡塔尔、英国、菲律宾、泰国、西班牙、意大利、韩国、阿联酋、丹麦、法国等18个国家25个海外组团单位的264名海外华裔青少年参加活动。

That same day, the launch ceremony for the 2026 "Shared Roots: China in Poetry" Global Poetry Competition for Chinese Youth was held. Following their "Roots-seeking Tour" in the Central Plains, the young people of Chinese heritage gathered together, with poetry as their bond, to embark on yet another cultural journey across mountains and seas.

活动当天，2026“豫侨同根·诗词里的中国”海内外华侨华人青少年诗词大赛启动仪式举行。在结束“中原寻根之旅”后齐聚一堂，以诗词为纽带，开启又一场跨越山海的文化之约。

From the "Roots-seeking Tour" to the "Poetry Gathering," the story of young people from home and abroad continues to unfold in the Central Plains. At the launch ceremony, a preview video titled Rooted in Henan, Poetry Beyond Frontiers was screened. Young people of Chinese heritage from the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and other countries, dressed in traditional Chinese attire, recorded their well-wishes for the competition at iconic landmarks around the world.

从“寻根之旅”到“诗词之约”，海内外青少年的中原故事，仍在继续书写。诗词大赛启动仪式上，播放了《诗行千里，根在河南》预热视频。来自美国、英国、澳大利亚等国的华裔青少年身着中国传统服饰，在中外各国标志性建筑前参与录制，为大赛送上祝福。

Under the theme "A Cultural Legacy, A Global Bond," the competition runs from July 16^th, 2026, to July 2027. It will accept online submissions of classic Chinese poetry recitations from young people of Chinese heritage aged 6 to 22 worldwide, as well as children and families of returned overseas Chinese, returnees, and other young poetry enthusiasts in China. Individual awards and "Outstanding Organization Awards" will be presented.

本次大赛以“赓续文脉 侨连四海”为主线，自2026年7月16日启动至2027年7月收官，将通过线上征集的方式，面向全球6至22岁的华侨华人青少年，以及国内归侨侨眷、归国留学人员子女与其他热爱诗词的青少年广泛征集中华经典诗词朗诵作品，并设立个人奖项及海内外“优秀组织奖”。

Poetry knows no borders, for it is the living bond that unites all Chinese people. Recitation carries a power of its own, bridging oceans and striking a chord of cultural resonance. This poetic invitation, reaching across time and space, now awaits the voices of young people around the world.
