As the summer heat intensifies, more people are choosing to head out after dark. Big evening discounts at supermarkets have become a major draw, and late-night grocery runs for hunting bargains are now the new norm for many residents. To meet this surging nighttime demand, many supermarkets and shopping centers are extending their hours. The move serves two purposes at once: giving shoppers a cool refuge from the heat and tapping into the burgeoning "night economy." Many shops and malls in Zhengzhou now stay open until 10:00 PM, with some even keeping their doors open during major holidays until the last customer leaves. As a result, the share of daily sales from the 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM window is steadily on the rise.
