It is home to a group of monuments called the Center of Heaven and Earth, a world cultural heritage site located at Dengfeng in Zhengzhou. There is also the Songyue Pagoda, Shaolin Temple, Songyang Academy, and other buildings, showing the world the magnificent ancient Chinese architecture and China’s long and splendid history.

There is a saying, "Kungfu in the world originates from Shaolin Temple, and Shaolin Kungfu is the best in the world." A cultural treasure of the Chinese nation, Shaolin Kungfu was created and developed in the Shaolin Temple on Songshan Mountain, and thanks to this, Zhengzhou has become the representative city of Chinese Kungfu.

“天下功夫出少林，少林功夫甲天下。”作为中华民族的文化瑰宝，少林功夫在嵩山少林寺诞生和发扬，郑州也因此成为中国功夫的代表城市。

探寻历史，文物古迹灿若星河

Zhengzhou is one of the most important cities to demonstrate the continuous development of Chinese civilization over more than 5,000 years. As one of the eight ancient capitals in China and a famous historical and cultural city, Zhengzhou has 83 key nationally protected cultural relic sites and nearly 150,000 pieces and sets of movable cultural relics, a number that ranks among the top in China. It is also one of the few Chinese cities embracing densely distributed cultural relics.

Zhengzhou is home to the 8,000-year-old Peiligang ruins, the 6,800-year-old Dahe Village ruins, the 5,300-year-old Shuanghuaishu ruins, the 4,100-year-old Wangchenggang ruins, and the 3,600-year-old Shang Capital ruins. It includes the oldest village, the oldest city and the oldest royal city. In addition, it includes 110 museums, such as Henan Museum, Zhengzhou Museum, Zhengzhou Shangdu Site Museum, and the Archaeological Museum of the Zhengzhou Institute of Cultural Heritage and Archaeology, attracting many tourists.

这里不仅有距今8000年的裴李岗遗址、6800年的大河村遗址、5300年的双槐树遗址、4100年的王城岗遗址、3600年的商城遗址，有中国考古发掘的“最古老村落”“最古老城池”“最古老王城”，更有着河南博物院、郑州市博物馆、郑州商都遗址博物院、郑州市文物考古研究院考古博物馆等110家博物馆，吸引着众多游人前来探寻历史。

The Unique Henan – Land of Drama is currently one of the largest drama clusters in China. There are 21 theaters offering nearly 700 minutes of non-repetitive plays with nearly a thousand actors.

只有河南·戏剧幻城，更是目前国内规模最大、演出时长最长的戏剧聚落群之一。这里有21个剧场，拥有近700分钟不重复的剧目、近千名演员，演绎着一出出动人剧目。

In Xinzheng, Zhengzhou, the epic performance The Eternal Love of the Yellow Emperor invites all Chinese people to attend a cultural feast.

在郑州新郑，更有一场“黄帝故事”正在上演，史诗级演艺《黄帝千古情》邀请炎黄子孙共赴一场穿越千年的文化盛宴。

There are various wonderful stage plays, from the classical dance Night Banquet at Tang Palace and the large-scale dance drama Goddess of Luo River to the large-scale Henan opera modern drama Sons and Daughters of the Yellow River, the dance dramas of Loyalty to the Country and Joining the Army, and the multimedia performance Zheng Song, each of which is a masterpiece.
